Moe’Neyah Holland is a current M.A. student at New York University at the Institute of Fine Arts. Her practice through curation, and research explores themes of resilience through refiguring African-American History via re-appropriation of the Western canon.
Moe’Neyah Holland developed an interest in art history during her council meetings as a Teen Art Council member at Tacoma Art Museum from 2016 to 2019. Her first curation opportunity was a collaboration with the Yehaw Indigenous Creatives Collective with other youth, producing the Indigenous Teen Art Show. At her undergraduate program in Art History at the University of Washington, Moe’Neyah worked with different curatorial internships connected to the Henry Art Gallery and Seattle Art Museum.
She has served on numerous advisory groups and panels, from Tacoma Art Museum to ArtsFund. Her recent summer fellowship included exhibition design and research for A Plus A Gallery in Venice, Italy.
